The various HR responsibilities include: employee relations, training and development, cultural ambassadorship, organizational development, recruitment/selection, compensation, health and safety and payroll/benefits relief. This individual will strive to instill strong HR principles within the organization and continuously work towards improving the work atmosphere. A positive attitude and customer focused approach is key to success. Responsibilities: Training and Development Organize, manage and continue to build in-house training program Conduct in-house training courses Communicate and coordinate external training * Organizational Development Review and revise policies and procedures on a continual basis Manage organizational development with functional leaders * Employee Relations Assist in performance reviews, succession planning, bonus metrics, compensation strategy and adjustments Guide and mentor management on proper employment practices Assist managers in conflict resolution procedures Assist in performance management situations * Recruitment & Selection Perform full cycle recruitment Conduct new hire orientation * Compensation and Benefits Coordinate group benefit plans for Canadian and US operations RRSP/DPSP program relief * Health and Safety Lead and participate in Joint H&S Committee Lead and participate in wellness activities * Operations Manage company rewards store, 1901 Exchange Complete special projects as assigned by Executive Group * Cultural Development & Corporate Responsibility Lead and monitor employee engagement through initiatives and software Lead corporate responsibility initiatives through the Giveback committee * HR Analytics Manage technical, analytic and audit functions of the HR department * Other duties as required Educational Requirements: Completion of Grade 12 Education Completion of Human Resource Management Degree or equivalent education will be considered Completion of CPHR an asset Must be a member in good standing with CPHR Manitoba Required Skills Exceptional oral and written communication Ability to make decision in the best interest of the organization Must be able to multitask Ability to move from one task to another and prioritize work assignments Attention to detail Strong organizational skills Problem solving skills Ability to self-motivate and work independently Must have strong team building skills Understanding of the Microsoft Office Suite Required Experience 3-7 years of related experience Working Conditions Work independently International travel 5% Sitting at a desk, 85% Walking, 10% Salary Commensurate with education and experience If interested, submit a cover letter and resume by January 20, 2018 @ noon. http://www.ghy.com/careers/positions/category/administration-management/ Job Type: Full-time Job Location: Winnipeg, MB Required education: Bachelor's Required experience: Human Resources: 4 years Required language: English Required licenses or certifications: CPHR Driver's Licence
