Turk Enterprises Ltd, a leading refrigerated carrier servicing North America is seeking an experienced Dispatcher/Planner for our weekend/40 hours a week shift. (weekends are included in this shift)
The ideal candidate will have a minimum 2 years’ experience in a comparable position within the transportation industry. The following skills are a minimum requirement for this position.
-Coordinate the scheduling of Professional Transport Operators, trucks and freight between various locations across Canada and the USA.Direct the P/U and delivery of freight in the most efficient matter.
-Monitor arrival and departure times by phone and or satellite.
-Ability to multitask and monitor several vehicles at the same time.
-The ability to source and sell freight at a profitable margin.
-To work close with customers and achieve a very high level of customer satisfaction.
-The ability to work in a fast paced environment.
-Be a team player and work closely with all departments.
-The ability to solve problems and be a quick thinker.
