Our Innovation team is looking for an analytical individual with a passion for learning and enjoys thinking outside the box to join the team as a Innovation Research Analyst. Innovation Research Analyst Job Summary Working under general supervision, the Innovation Research Analyst assists in the research of competitive analysis, trend research and innovation projects on the insurance industry that support the corporate strategies for innovation. Responsibilities Gathers research towards the development of quarterly competitive financial, product innovation and technology analysis of Wawanesa's competitors through the use of online resources and research tools Research and collect information from online resources and research tools to create presentation for senior executives. Participates in the collection and analysis of data towards trend research and reports, using non traditional mediums to present information. Prepares reports with findings, illustrating complex findings using non traditional mediums to present information for innovation projects. Support a culture of innovation internally, assisting in strategic research and supporting as a process coach for innovation or related projects, inspiring the project team through divergent thought and methodology to spark future ideas and look towards future trends through multiple iterations. Develops and enhances productive business relationships by liaising with internal and external resources. Performs other duties as assigned Qualifications Post- secondary degree in Commerce, Business Administration, Marketing or a related discipline A versatile storyteller, able to assemble, create and communicate information in a convincing manner. Strong analytical and problem solving skills, with the ability to conduct analysis of information Good ability to identify trends in large amounts of data with a natural curiousity to identify relationships and causes. Good planning and organizing skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively. Strong attention to detail with an eye for accuracy Active study towards the Certified Marketing Research Professional (CMRP) or a related innovation designation would be considered an asset Active enrollment in the Chartered Insurance Professional designation or equivalent Property & Casualty industry designation would be considered an asset Knowledge of and experience in the insurance industry is considered an asset.To apply:
