Receive, match and code all invoices
Review invoices for accuracy with regard to the accounting period, invoice date, payment terms, description of services rendered
Prepare/enter invoices into the accounting system daily and initiate the appropriate approval workflow
Make payments as requested by check request or approved invoices
Review accounting coding prior to the posting and paying of invoices and reports any errors to the SR A/P Supervisor
Review new vendor requests/updates and perform verifications as required
Research, reconcile and resolve any discrepancies on vendor accounts or payment issues, through effective communication with vendors or internal business owners
Coordinate with vendors, purchasing, receiving, and other departments to make sure payables are processed on time, with accuracy and upon approval.
Supervise the Accounts Payable staff in the absence of the SR A/P Supervisor
Assist on special projects as needed
Job Requirements Key Qualifications
3– 5 years’ accounts payable experience in a fast paced environment
Experience with Microsoft Dynamics AX is an asset
Demonstrated computer skills including MS Word, Excel, Outlook
Strong attention to detail
Strong organization and time management skills
Demonstrated success in achieving deadlines and process improvements
Excellent written & verbal communication skills
Education: Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field or equivalent education and experience
